Barnds Law, LLC charges either a flat fee or an hourly fee (retainer). Every case is different, thus a STRATEGY SESSION is necessary to discuss your matter to ensure you are the RIGHT FIT FOR our Services.
FLAT FEE: This flat fee will be in a contract form, and your attorney will discuss and write down exactly what our work entails and the maximum legal fee we will charge, including fees of the court. FLAT FEES are normally assessed for Expungement Cases.
For retainer fees: The attorney charges HOURLY and it is based on the severity level of the charges, the potential sentencing risk you face, the complexity of your case, Discovery Needed, Experts, Travel time to and from Court, Depositions, Cross Examination, Trial and Hearing Time. The reputation and ability that is offered as counsel, and /or the likelihood that the efforts and resources devoted to your case or any conflict of interest that is inherent to the case may preclude me from accepting other engagements.
We accept cash, check or credit cards for payment. Retainers and Flat fees are due before any ENTRY OF APPEARANCE.
PRIVATE QUALITY attorneys are EXPENSIVE, because they understand the law and will do everything in their power and the scope of the LAW for their client.
When hired to represent you in your case, we will provide a written agreement. We require that the fees associated with representation are paid prior to filing an entry of appearance in any case. We avail MR. West as the client's full-time attorney, we assign a paralegal and support staff . Services are only complete when the case is resolved by way of dismissal, placement of diversion, or sentencing at the trial level.
We will represent clients in the defense of charges in court including: attending all court appearances, obtaining legal discovery of police reports and evidence, supervising necessary investigations and reviewing results with the client, conducting all necessary legal research, filing appropriate briefs with the court and providing representation at all necessary hearings and conferences.
In the Event a client does not meet their contractual obligations, Barnds Law LLC will withdraw as council with a formal conversation and written correspondence.
